** ABOUT **

Our clay cutters are cut-to-order from high quality PLA filament.
We print slowly with a high quality to ensure the best possible cut for you!

Our intricately embossed designs may not be suitable for new clay makers.
We recommend using a thick setting to see the full effect of the embossing.

** CARE & INFO **

Even though our cutters are designed to be strong, they are not indestructible. Do not apply excess pressure and do not apply inwards or outwards pressure to the cutting wall specifically. Use water or corn starch to help prevent clay from sticking. Some sanding will still be necessary after baking.

We recommend being gentle and taking good care of your clay cutters to ensure a long, happy clay-making life. Here are our tips for cutter care:

🧽 Always clean your cutter with a damp cloth, baby wipe or soapy water after use
💨 Ensure that your cutter is completely dry before storing
🔥 Do not expose your cutter to high heat (eg. do not leave in the hot sun for prolonged periods), as it will warp
💪🏻 Do not use excessive strength or force on your cutter
🦩 For smaller cutters, or cutters with higher detail, material build up is inevitable due to the small gaps.
Use a small needle tool to remove the stuck clay before storing.

caring for your resin

Taking care of resin-printed texture rollers is important to maintain their quality and longevity. Here’s a list of steps to help you properly care for them:

1. Cleaning After Each Use

  • Remove Residue: After each use, gently remove any excess material or residue using a soft brush or cloth.
  • Warm Water Rinse: Rinse the roller with warm water to wash away any remaining debris.
  • Use Mild Soap: If necessary, use a mild, non-abrasive soap to clean the roller. Avoid harsh chemicals that can damage the resin.

2. Drying

  • Air Dry: Let the roller air dry completely before storing it. Avoid using heat or direct sunlight to speed up drying as this can warp the resin.
  • Towel Drying: Pat the roller dry with a lint-free towel to remove excess water, ensuring it is completely dry to prevent mold or mildew.

3. Storage

  • Cool, Dry Place: Store the roller in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight or heat sources to prevent warping.
  • Flat or Upright Storage: Store the roller either flat or upright to avoid unnecessary pressure on any part of the roller.
  • Protective Cover: Use a protective cover or bag to keep the roller free from dust and debris when not in use.

4. Handling

  • Gentle Use: Handle the roller gently to avoid chipping or cracking the resin.
  • Avoid Dropping: Be careful not to drop the roller, as resin can be brittle and may break upon impact.

5. Periodic Inspection

  • Check for Damage: Regularly inspect the roller for any signs of wear, cracks, or damage.
  • Repair Minor Damage: If you notice minor cracks or chips, you can repair them with UV resin or epoxy.

6. Avoid Exposure to Harsh Chemicals

  • No Solvents: Avoid using harsh solvents or abrasive cleaners that can degrade the resin.
  • No Alcohol: Alcohol can cause the resin to become brittle over time, so it’s best to avoid using it for cleaning.

7. Temperature Control

  • Avoid Extreme Temperatures: Keep the roller away from extreme temperatures, as high heat can cause warping and cold can make the resin brittle.
  • Room Temperature: Store and use the roller at room temperature to maintain its integrity.

8. Use Compatible Materials

  • Material Compatibility: Use the roller with materials that won’t cause excessive wear or damage to the resin, such as soft clays or fondants.

By following these steps, you can ensure that your resin-printed texture rollers remain in excellent condition for repeated use.
